Sonography

Dr. Yakov Levy offers gynecological sonography at his New York City and Queens practice to provide his patients with a safe, immidiate noninvasive way for diagnosis. Sonography is commonly referred to as ultrasound imaging and can provide fairly detailed pictures of the uterus, cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and other reproductive organs.

An ultrasound is conducted using a small device called a transducer, which sends out high-frequency sound waves that can travel through the body and bounce off of the organs, which are then turned into pictures that allow Dr. Levy a visual of these organs, so he can accurately diagnose and create a treatment plan if necessary. The procedure is completely painless and can be done in the comfort of the office.
